Hi everyone. A while back I saw this amazing card made by my good friend, Darnell (aka Dolly). I LOVE this wonderful stamp set (Up Goes the Tree - Penny Black) and Dolly's colouring. I had to get it. It took a while to arrive, but I finally have the stamp set with matching die and went right to work making a card. Thanks for the inspiration, sweet friend!
I stamped the image in Toffee Crunch Ink (Momento) and used distress re-inkers to watercolour. I stamped an extra poinsettia (separate stamp than the tree) and watercoloured. The set has matching dies (Up Goes the Tree Cut Out - Penny Black) so I bought those as well. :) I die-cut the separate poinsettia and then popped it on top of the main image, adding dimension to the tree.
The beautiful tree fills an A2 card front. To finish, I simply stamped a sentiment (Believe - Penny Black) in more of the Toffee Crunch ink. :)

What a compliment, Lolly, thank you so much! (I'm not sure if I've ever been CASEd before!) You did a beautiful job painting this fun stylized Christmas tree! Thank you, too, for linking again to NBUS. Who will be enabled next?🤔 Love, Dolly

I can certainly see why this had to come home to live with you! What a great image and colored perfectly, Loll. That teeny little star on the top is just the sweetest!
I coveted this stamp when I saw Darnell's card, too, and now I'm loving it all over again when used by you! You made me look up the sentiment set, too. I just ordered some new Penny Black, but you know I'll always go back for more. Gorgeous inspiration, Loll!

An absolutely beautiful card, love the tree the added poinsettia certainly gives it that little extra, love it. Love that sentiment in the perfect colour too. x
What a beautiful card! I can see why you "needed" this festive tree image. You've colored it up perfectly. I've been away in CA visiting my son and his family so I just played catch up on your blog. The bird card is as cute as can be!!
If only we could create Christmas trees like this in real life! I love how you colored all the elements; it's a very colorful and cheerful tree. The large poinsettia flower balances the image beautifully.
