I used an older piece of patterned paper (Sweather Weather - Stampin' Up!). Stenciled using the Dreamweaver - Hibiscus Pair stencil, using distress inks.
I finished the card by tracing an outline through the stencil with a fine-tip black marker and adding a simple sentiment.

I hope you'll check out the CAS Mix Up August Challenge - Stenciling over Patterned Paper. We'd love if you made a CAS card using this technique and then link up to the party at the bottom of the challenge post. Hope to see you in the Gallery!

I love your stenciled-over-patterned-paper Hibiscus, Loll! I adore the outline you've added, too! I've got my thinking cap on!

This is beautiful. Great choice of pattern paper, stencil and colors.
This was waiting in my inbox and I LOVE it, Lolly! What a great idea to stencil on pp and I love how you added the definition with the outline! Oooh, you've got my gears turning ... I have a feeling this challenge will be addicting once I start pulling out stencils and trying to choose from all my pp! Thank you for using the I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and getting inky! Love, Dolly
Adding the outline really makes your Hibiscus pop, Loll. Who would have thought that stenciling would cover the pattern so well?!
A really lovely card Loll. x
