Gently Falling Maple Leaf

Today is the Color Challenge from SCS - More Mustard, Tangerine Tango and Soft Suede.  Lovely fall colors so it was hard for me to think of anything other than leaves!!  I used my new Gently Falling stamp set again - it's so beautiful, I can't get enough of it.  I also used the CAS (clean & simple) sketch challenge from yesterday.  Today's card is made with all SU! products.

Hope you like.

I randomly colored the inside part of the maple leaf with More Mustard and Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write markers.  I misted the stamp with water three times and then stamped onto watercolor paper.  I let it dry.  I inked the outside part of the maple leaf with Soft Suede ink and stamped overtop of the watercoloring, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for positioning.  I cut out the maple leaf and then sponged around the outside edges with more Soft Suede ink.

I cut a strip of Autumn Traditions DP and sponged around the outside edges with Soft Suede to tie it into the look of the maple leaf.  I adhered the strip to a large piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment (Happy Moments) in Soft Suede ink in the lower right corner.  I mounted the panel onto a card base of Soft Suede.

I mounted the watercolored maple leaf onto the front of the card, popping it up with dimensionals to add depth.  I tied the hemp twine into a bow and glued it on top of the leaf stem.
