Trendy Fall Tree

Today's sketch challenge from SCS turned out to be a definite challenge for me.  I struggled a bit with this layout, but I'm happy with my final result.  I think the Trendy Tree stamp set is adorable and I need to ink it more often.  I've only made two cards with this set and I noticed when I posted this, that I used the same Haiku DP with both cards ... sometimes a certain DP just goes with a certain stamp set.

I used only SU! products for this card.  Hope you like.

SCS Sketch 353:

"Trendy Fall Tree"

Stamps:  Trendy Trees (SU!)
Paper:  Old Olive, Whisper White, Haiku DP (retired) (SU!)
Ink:  Stampin' Write markers: Early Espresso, Old Olive, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango (SU!)
Accessories & Tools:  Stamp-a-ma-jig, adhesive and dimensionals

Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement, I stamped the tree trunk in Early Espresso ink onto a 2" square of Whisper White cardstock.  I randomly inked the tree top with More Mustard, Old Olive and Tangerine Tango inks and stamped over top the tree trunk, again, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.

I framed the main image with a thin (1/16") frame of Old Olive cardstock and mounted it on a square of Haiku DP which had also been framed with a thin frame of Old Olive.  I cut a strip from the same Haiku DP and mounted it on a frame of Old Olive.

I mounted all the pieces as shown in the picture above, popping up the large patterned square and the main image with dimensionals.
