Autumn Flowers

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing another card for the CAS Watercolour October Challenge - Orange, Green, and Brown.  I love this colour combination!

I used a beautiful die-cut flower that was gifted to me by my friend Hideko.  Isn't it pretty??!!  She sent me several to play with, so you'll be seeing more of these. :)  Thanks Hideko!

I watercoloured the die-cuts with distress inks and then added them to my card base along with a stamped sentiment.  I added some liquid pearls to the center of the flower, but they don't show up in the photo.  Simple, CAS design.

Here's a close-up ...
We are celebrating our 2nd Birthday at CAS Watercolour.  I hope you'll come play along!

Edited to add:  Was asked by what die I used for the card above ... it is Cornflowers made by Alexandra Renke.

Stamps:  Grateful (Penny Black)
Paper:  White (Neenah), Mixed media (die-cut flowers)
Ink:  Distress Inks:  Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Peeled Paint, Walnut Stain (Tim Holtz)
Accessories & Tools:  Cornflowers die (Alexandra Renke), water brush, chocolate liquid pearls

I find this colour combo a challenge, but you use them so effortlessly. Gorgeous watercoloring and shading of these beautiful diecuts from Hideko, Loll. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest. xx

I heard cornflowers' joyful singing from my computer just now so I tracked it down and here I am! ;-P
Your coloring is amazing, Loll! You used only a few colors, but the flowers have so much depth and interest. The chocolate liquid pearls must be a shinier accent IRL. I love the elegant and simple design too!
Thank you so much for turning the die-cut into this beauty!
Hideko xx

It's CASimply gorgeous Loll. Beautiful in those autumn colours. Those tiny pearl centres add just that little bit of texture for a great finish.

I have tried to color a die cut and that's no easy job! I ended up giving up. Yours turned out beautifully! I just found the working area too small or I'm too clumsy. I do love the blend of color on this gorgeous blossom! How fun to play with a new die cut!

Your die cut flower is amazing Loll...you've blended the colors just beautifully! You truly didn't need anything else on this card but the sentiment...it is definitely CAS perfection! I passed on your hug to Darnell yesterday, and what a joy to finally meet her and Bev, Anita, Kelly, and of course to see Kara again. Fun, FUN weekend!! Hope yours was great too! Hugs.
