Christmas Joy

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing a reminder card for CAS Christmas January Challenge, hosted by Christine.

I had a piece of silver heat embossed rubber band design in my stash.  Smooshed it with blue magicals and die-cut from a NBUS die that I bought from AliExpress.  I also die-cut a second "JOY" from silver foil card stock, along with small layering poinsettias.  Glued the two "JOY" die-cuts together with the silver foil in the background, off-setting it slightly from the top layer of blue.  I popped it up on foam and added a layered poinsettia.  Three small glitter balls were added to the center of the poinsettia to finish.  QACAS (quick and clean and simple) card that was fun and easy to make.

Here's a close-up ...

... and an even closer look ...

I hope you'll check out the challenge blog to see the reminder cards from our Guest Designer, Kaj (Kajcyika Crafts), and our wonderful Designers.  Then come play along.  There's still a week left before the challenge closes on January 24th at midnight (PST).

Great Loll must do the rubberband technique this year.
My aim is to learn as much as possible in 2019. But bad me also just bought that joy die.
You're my worst enabler at mo, Loll!
But my darling mum was called Joy amd I just love the die on Christmas cards! She was born near Christmas day, and her dad called her Joy cos that's what she brought. He was a really loving dad.
Made 4 cards for this.. all same but not blogged yet! Soon!

I really need to try the rubber band technique as it is just so beautiful on this word die cut. A CAS card that is so stunning in the colors blue and silver! Now I think me needs to go shopping on AliExpress! lol Hugs, Brenda

Such an eye catching card and good use of a large die. Love the silver poinsettia in the "O"...have that die set so looking forward to using it that way...clever idea. Have been making a few Christmas cards...got caught short this year with too few cards...never again!
