Twofer Challenge #34

Hi eveyone.  I'm excited to be playing along with Twofer Challenge #34 today.  The challenge this month is ...
I do love to make flower cards. :)  Don't forget the rules for this challenge ...

The above cards are made from a lovely Simon Says Stamp set called Look for the Rainbows  I used the spray image, heat embossing in Liquid Platinum on mixed media paper before watercolouring with distress inks and reinkers (Abandoned Coral, Mowed Lawn) for the card on the right.  I then fussy-cut the bottom of the image and placed over a black card base which has a heat embossed sentiment to match.

Close-up ...
For my second card, using the same floral spray, I stamped in black and heat embossed with clear on mixed media paper before watercolouring with distress inks and reinkers (Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn).  The sentiment is stamped in black and heat embossed in clear as well so that it matches the shine of the image.

Close-up ...
Both these cards have already gone out in the mail! :)

Both designs are so pretty with that lovely spray of blooms Loll - I love the first with it's fussy cut edge over the black which really makes it stand out - and the 2nd is beautifully CAS! xx

What a pretty spray of flowers to use on both of your fabulous cards Loll. Your 'thinking of you' card is so striking and I like how the fussy cutting of the pretty flowers shows up even more against the black cardstock.
Card number two is so delicate and absolutely beautiful Loll x. Two fabulous and inspirational cards x.

Jaw drop! Those flowers on either white or black are stunning! Black/gold/white is a favorite combo, and when you add in some beautifully colored flowers it's simply breathtaking!

I love the spray of flowers from Simon Says and so pretty in both colours in the more simple form on the left in that glorious purple, and then in a brilliant red, die cut and placed over a contrasting black bottom half which shows them off beautifully Loll. Two fantastic Twofer cards. x

Gorgeous cards, Loll! Love your choice of flowers and how you made each design unique! Great idea to fussy cut the blooms on the first one and place them over a black panel...so striking! Your 2nd card is so pretty and would fit nicely into the challenge at ATCAS (Emboss - Heat or Dry) if you're interested :) xx

Pretty sure I've fallen in love...I really do love this awesome duo, Loll. That stamp is simple, yet full of possibilities, and the way you've used it on these two cards is perfect. Love the designs, the colors, the embossing, and especially the gorgeous CAS look. You've knocked it out of the park once again! Love, love, love these beauties. Stay safe! Bev

Two beautiful cards, Loll!
So cleaver to think of fussy-cutting the bottom of the image! It adds so much interest to the design. The color contrast is effective too.
The second card is simple and stunning! I love the petal color first of all. :-) Changing the orientation of the stamp image makes the card look totally different from the first card, and the big white space enhances the beauty of the floral spray.
