Hi everyone. Today is the re-launch of CAS Christmas Challenge and we are very excited! :) We have a fun challenge for you ...
I'm hosting this month. I went through my Christmas stamps looking for bird images ... there is A LOT! :) The image above is my favourite Christmas bird stamp that I've had for several years. It's called Snow Bird (Stampendous). It was so sad when Stampendous closed. I will always keep this image and use it every year. :)
The image was stamped in black pigment ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Distress inks were used to watercolour and add a faint outline around the image. A simple sentiment (Shine Upon You - Penny Black) was added to finish the card.
Close-up ...
Sending this to the following challenges:

What a great theme to start with for the re-launch of this super challenge Loll, and I love your choice of bird perched on a snowy branch with the pretty red berries laden with snow...so cute, and beautifully coloured too, and the touch of blue around the image works brilliantly. x
Glad to see that you are bringing this back, Lolly! I LOVE this little birdie and it makes me want to pull mine out too!
that's such a pretty bird image, it really is worth pulling out each year. Beautifully coloured and I love the light blue watercolour wash in the background ❤️
I know birds aren't fluffy, but this sweet birdie looks so cute and fluffy, Lolly! I want to hold him! He is nestled - and painted - perfectly on the berry-laden branch! Thank you for bringing back CAS Christmas!! Love, Dolly
This darling one is worth using every year, what a pretty little bird! The snowy berry branch he's perched on is perfect too. Cute card, Loll!
what a lovely chickadee (?I think?) So pretty with the falling snow and wonderful snowy berries! A great first challenge for CAS Christmas! Julia xx
Loll, I can see why that is your favorite bird stamp! I love how you colored the bird and how his feathers all seem to be fluffed up to give him warm winter protection!
Great to see the relaunch Loll and you've got it off to a flyer with this cute birdie! :)
Oh yay Loll for starting it up again. Love your bird, such a sweet puffed up darling.
I've yet to meet a bird [stamp] that I didn't love - this little cutie is no exception! Beautiful stamp - beautifully colored, Loll!

I too can see why this birdie is a favorite Loll and you've colored him just beautifully! I love how "puffed" out he looks, like he's trying to stay warm! I love the soft background too! Lovely, lovely card my friend and I hope to find some time soon to play along! (Every thing with the sale of my mom's house should be finished up by months end and then hopefully I will have some more free time!!) Hugs and best wishes on the come back of this great challenge!! :0)
Hooray! I've already got my stuff out, but I'm torn over which to start with. Two of the favorites on my desk right now are Stampendous. I, too, was so sad when they closed shop. This little bird is so darling, beautifully watercolored and all fluffed up in the snowy winter. I'm so glad to have this challenge back in my Feedly!
Loll, such a beautiful card and water colored so beautifully. So happy to have this challenge back and to be on the team.
I have a heart for birds and this fluffy little one is so cute and wonderfully colored, Loll. I can see why you want to keep using this stamp.
So nice to see you back with this CAS challenge. I can see why this bird is your favourite. He is a delight xx
A fabulous card the CAS treatment is perfect for this lovely image, love your colouring too. x
Oh wow! What a precious little snow bird and so beautifully watercoloured xxx
So glad to see CAS Christmas back!! Love your sweet birdie card, Loll - thanks for the inspiration!!
Love this sweet image, Loll! Thank you for starting this up! I hope it'll inspire me to get back into the creative mode! When I stopped doing design team work, I lost my deadlines and inspiration! Hugs!
Like so many Loll, I too am very happy CAS Christmas is back -- I love making Christmas cards as they're my yearly one time go to in keeping in touch with friends and family - the old fashion way. Birds are one of my favorites too and your cute little bird is just perfect sitting there on his holly branch... lovely colouring. Enjoy your day hugs Robyn
One of my favourite ever bird images! Love the way you've coloured it - great job with the blue around the image. I'm so glad you've resurrected CAS Christmas!
Admiring your card again Loll. I know I left a comment, but it doesn't show up so I am commenting again. Your coloring on this sweet bird is lovely and I like the blue around him. I have the same stamp and was thinking of using it - maybe or maybe not. :) Thanks for starting this challenge again.
