I'm starting the year by sharing a few cards I made and sent out for Christmas, but didn't have time to post late last year. These were all made with backgrounds I had in my stash. Most times I will make multiple backgrounds when trying out a new technique. I keep them handy to create cards later on.

Above is made with a brushos background ... the two cards below are made from a recent technique from Group of Cardmakers - Textured Tissue Paper with Dry Embossing. Long name :) ... but a grouping of fairly simple techniques that together, create lovely backgrounds.

Witaj Loll. Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku 2026!
Jestem pod wrażeniem takiej kolekcji przepięknych kart. Pierwsza karta z ciemnym tłem, tworzy wspaniały kontrast dla białych ośnieżonych choinek. Kolejne karty z okienkami, w których tła stworzyłaś z barwionych husteczek przyklejonych do papieru wytłoczonego w EF Wyglądają naprawdę niesamowicie. Uwielbiam kolorowe tła, a dodanie złota dodaje elegancji tym kartom. Pomimo tego, że wysztskie karty są wykonane w podobny sposób, każda z nich jest unikalna i niepowtarzalna.
Ostatnia karta z czarnym tłem i złoceniem w oknie ma naprawdę dużą dramaturgię i wyglada świetnie.
Tak, musisz przygotować tak wiele kart dla przyjaciół, że mogło zabraknąć Ci czasu na publikowanie ich przed świętami. To zrozumiałe.

Kudos to you for using some of your wonderful backgrounds to create these beautiful cards, Loll.
All four are gorgeous Loll and the white frame with fir trees contrasts brilliantly with the blue and green Brusho background. Then the two beautiful versions usubg these textured tissue paper pieces look wonderful with the bright blue and purple background and the gold coloured leaves, and lastly the gold mica poinsettias are so pretty on the black card, and giving lovely contrast using white for the frame. x
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL cards Loll! They are all so pretty, but I think my favorite is the last card...the gold and black are SO striking together! All beautifully done my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Fabulous collection of cards Loll. I really love your your use of that stitched window to place your technique bits behind. The last one is my fave. The jeweled poinsettias are striking on the black backdrop.
Happy New Year, Loll! Beautiful cards, all three of them. You create the most magical backgrounds. I definitely want to try the textured tissue paper with dry embossing. Sounds intriguing. I'm terrible at trying new techniques, but this is the start of a new year, so I can be hopeful. Hope your 2026 is filled with healthy, joy, peach and lots of crafty time.

Wowie! You always have just the right stamps and dies to use with your amazing backgrounds. These are all gorgeous! The tissue paper with dry embossing is especially lovely to my eyes. This is a beautiful share for the new year. I can't believe we're already 3 days into it!

Gorgeous cards Loll! The background is so amazingly vibrant with the Brushos and the embossed background is really pretty!
Happy New Year! I love how you’ve kicked off 2026 by dipping into your stash of backgrounds. That Brushos piece is stunning, but I’m really intrigued by the "Textured Tissue Paper with Dry Embossing" technique it creates such a unique look. Using sticky powder with gold mica for the poinsettias was a brilliant move, too; it gives the card such a luxurious finish.
