Teamwork

Hi everyone.  I started my card with a NBUS stamp that I bought not long ago.  This is called Teamwork (by Anita Jerum from Colorado Craft).  I  just love this fun scene of everyone working together to get these snowmen made.  Adorable!

I stamped in black ink and heat embossed with clear before adding soft sponging for the sky and watercolouring the image with my Zig markers.  I used the same stamp set for the sentiment that is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in red.  To finish, I used my white Posca pen to add stripes and dots details to the scarfs and hats and then splattered with diluted white acrylic paint for the falling snow.

I'm sending this to April Rudolph Days Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes.  I try to play along each month to keep my stash building throughout the year.

Stay Curious

Hi everyone.  Another adorable image from Anita Jeram (Colorado Craft Company).  This image reminded me of Jessie, so I HAD to buy it! :)  I can just see her with her head stuck in a pot, trying to find something yummy to snack on. :)

I kept this very CAS so that the image was the star.  Watercoloured with distress inks, I finished the design by softly sponging clouds in the sky using a stencil.

Because this is the first outing for the stamp, I'm adding this card to the NBUS Challenge #37 (never-before-used-schtuff).  I have a LOT of NBUS, so try to join in the challenge at least once a month.  At this rate, it will take me about 20 years to get through my current NBUS pile. :)

And, I'm sending this card over to CAS on Friday Challenge #228 - Stencil.

Somebunny Loves You!

Hi everyone.  I'm happy to say that I finally got a card made that I'm happy with. :)

I found an on-line store last week that is located in Vancouver, B.C. ... just a short distance from my house.  I ordered on Wednesday, got confirmation of shipping on Thursday, and my order arrived on Friday.  Gotta love that! :)

I purchased a few of  Colorado Craft Company's line of stamps by Anita Jerem.  I have seen these sweet images around for ages.  Don't know why it took me so long to get some to play with.

This image is called Bunnies & Robin.  It's a great spring image and brought a smile to my face the whole time I was watercolouring. :)  My hope is that it will bring a smile to my sweet friend Dolly as well, as it is now in the mail to her. :)

I started by sponging a light arc of blue ink (Speckled Egg) over the top of the image.  I then watercoloured using distress inks:  Pumice Stone, Frayed Burlap, Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo, Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Candied Apple, and Wilted Violet.

I cut off the bottom a bit short (darn!), so my sentiment actually goes over top of a bit of the image, but I'm still happy with it.  The black sentiment banner is stamped and heat embossed in white, using one of the stamps from the same stamp set.
